SEDIGISM

The Structure, Excitation and Dynamics of the Inner Galactic Interstellar Medium (SEDIGISM) survey is a large-scale (84 square deg) survey that observed the inner Galactic disc in 13CO(2-1) and C18O(2-1) lines with the APEX telescope at 28" resolution. SEDIGISM aims to study the properties and distribution of molecular clouds in the Milky Way IV quadrant; the Galaxy large-scale structure; excitation and optical depth of the dense gas content, high-mass star formation etc.

EDGE-CALIFA

The Extragalactic Database for Galaxy Evolution (EDGE) is a molecular gas survey of 126 galaxies observed with CARMA based on the Calar Alto Legacy Integral Field Area (CALIFA) IFU survey. The EDGE-CALIFA collaboration observed galaxies from the star formation main sequence, across the green valley, down to the red sequence, aiming to study galaxy evolution by characterizing star formation quenching, measuring star formation fundamental relationships, and anchoring baryon physics. The EDGE-CALIFA collaboration is expanding the database with 300+ APEX, 10 NOEMA (PI Colombo), 145 ACA, 150 GBT (PI Bolatto) CO observations, and 55 JVLA (PI Colombo, Kalinova), 17 uGMRT (PI Kalinova) HI observations.

SCIMES

The Spectral Clustering for Molecular Emission Segmentation (SCIMES) algorithm identifies relevant molecular gas structures within dendrograms of emission using the spectral clustering paradigm. SCIMES segmentations mantain the morphology and inner structures of the clouds. It has been used to identify clouds especially in high-resolution molecular gas Galaxy surveys, and in simulations.

PAWS

The PdBI Arcsecond Whirpool Survey (PAWS) is an IRAM large program that observed in CO lines the inner 9 kpc of M51. This project has been crucial to understand how the dynamical environments shape the molecular gas properties.
